Playrooms

Let’s just say, I could write a novel about playroom organization!

My main process is to empty, sort, purge/donate and put back in! With each playroom that I’ve helped organize, there is always a need to use furniture to organize and it ALL hinges on the type of toys. My biggest piece of advice is to think LONG TERM. What toys do you think your kids will grow with? How much do you want to spend on organizing items they might soon outgrow? What is the long-term plan for the space after the first five years? There are SO many fun options for playrooms - I can’t wait to design with you!

Now, see below for some before and after’s along with some tips, too!

Playroom Before and Afters

A mess, for sure! This took about 4 hours to organize! This was also our second session in this playroom - they had already bought or made some organizational furniture to keep it all in place. We further purged this time, and corralled everything before Christmas!

Now there is a place for everything! Big brother stayed on top of it for the weeks after, admonishing those who dared make it a mess. Ha! I call that a success!

Calm and peaceful goals.

This playroom just needed a deep clean before Christmas rolled around! A basket to corral the little pieces and different activities!

Light and airy! This furniture works for the little kid toys, for games, and will be great to grow with if not in this room (the original dining room) but perhaps elsewhere in the house!
