Weekly Edit #5

I’m back on the weekly edit! Here is a round-up of some recent things that I’ve liked, from more than the past week, TBH, since I haven’t posted this in a while!

Food We Ate:

Slow Cooker meals are on the menu! More to come on this later.

  • Curried Pork Chops - Did chopped onions, mushrooms, and bell pepper with about 5 boneless pork chops on top with seasoning and chicken broth for about 3 hours on low. Made rice as a side. Was good! And I didn’t over cook the meat, so a win.

  • Whole Chicken with Rosemary - a GREAT way to cook a chicken. Added a head of garlic inside, and some chicken broth at the bottom. So so so good. Make sure to save the bones and make chicken broth!

Kids:

Wimmelbooks (pictured below) — I love these! Our 2 and 4.5 year old really enjoy these - and I do too! They are so detailed, and for being a picture book, they have little story lines as you follow people from page to page. It can help the littles learn words, and the big ones can find the images that repeat each page. Will definitely be buying more of these for future holidays and birthdays. Great for the car, too!

Stories Podcast - OMG - try this out if you have kids around the age of 4 (or save if you will!). My daughter loves listening to these stories in the car, though I admit she’s gone through phases of liking it and not. But lately, it’s made our car rides very peaceful!

Stuff I bought:

Madewell PJs - This was a purchase only because I had to use a credit - and if I don’t use it right away, I forget I have it. Anyone else? I’ve been LIVING in these pants. They are so comfortable - highly recommend.

Straw Hat - Ok, hear me out. This is more of a visor style so your hair doesn’t get messed up! I’m not sure I find it the MOST flattering, but I love that I can wear my hair in a bun AND wear a cute hat.
